THE CLASSIC LINKS EXPERIENCE

Prestwick St Nicholas boasts a superb location overlooking the Clyde Estuary at the heart of the Ayrshire Links Coast. The Course offers magnificent top-quality golf throughout the year, and guarantees a new challenge with every round. Our Club has thriving Mens, Ladies and Junior Sections and for families Little Nicks offers golf tuition to children. The Seniors and Mixed Nine & Dine Groups complete a Club package that offers a warm, friendly and relaxed welcome to golfers of all ages and abilities. Gareth Hardy, our South African Professional, and his team provide everything that you could need to perfect your game and are always on hand to welcome Members, Guests and Visitors alike. The welcome extends into our comfortable and spacious Clubhouse, where you can relax, dine and blether as you watch the golfers teeing off or gaze across the sea to Arran and Ailsa Craig. HISTORY, HERITAGE AND HOSPITALITY

Established in 1851 as "The Mechanics Club" Prestwick St Nicholas shares its Tom Morris heritage with St Andrews, Old Prestwick and other great Clubs. Our perfectly maintained classic Links with sea views from every hole, undulating fairways and true-running greens offers a superbly balanced challenge for golfers of all abilities, even when the wind blows. Our relaxed and friendly Clubhouse provides a tempting range of food and drinks in a convivial atmosphere overlooking the sea and Isle of Arran. A perfect golfers experience!
Tom Morris is not our only admirer: Sir Henry Cotton famously described St Nicks as "a miniature championship course". At a little over 6000 yards the par 69 course is simultaneously challenging and exhilarating, but can easily be accommodated as a half-day outing. 
Prestwick St Nicholas was part of the Ayrshire golfing scene from the very start, and still boasts one of Ayrshire's finest courses and warmest welcomes. Take the train from Glasgow to Ayr and you will be amazed at the extent and quality of the Ayrshire Links Coast.  

A CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

Prestwick is the home of the Open, and over the years St Nicks has hosted a number of Championship events including the 2018 Scottish Senior Women's Open Championship

A FAMILY CLUB

For golfing families, St Nicks offers thriving Gents, Ladies and Junior Sections. Little Nicks is an ideal way to introduce the youngest members of the family to golf, with expert tuition from our Professional's Team. In the Clubhouse there are quiet areas and rowdy corners, so everyone can find their own space, and our Social Calendar features events geared towards young and old alike. Back on the Course Seniors Golf and Mixed Golf are both catered for with organised groups playing regular friendly competitions.

A CLUB FOR THE COMMUNITY




Our charity fundraising initiative invites you to make a donation to the Captain’s designated charity if you land in the bunker front left of the 18th green. Last year the designated charity was Prostate Cancer UK, this year it is Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. This is a purely voluntary arrangement but we hope as many of you as possible will support this worthwhile cause: donatre at the Bar or Pro Shop
