Results for 29/11/21
Today 35 of us took part in our Foursomes event in fairly cool windy conditions. In addition, a member kindly donated £1.00 to our prize fund.
In 1st Place with a score of 40 Points were Norman Forsythe and Sam Hornell who will each be credited with £ 4.00. In 2nd Equal Place with a score of 38 Points were Peter Mackie and Gordon Daly plus Bob Leitch and Andy Fraser who will each be credited with £ 3.00. In 3rd Equal Place with a score of 37 Points were Franklin Henry and Eddie Maurer plus Jim Kelman and Mike McArthur plus Jim Campbell and Chris Knight who will each be credited with £ 2.00.
Due to weather conditions we allowed all teams an option to play a 9 hole game. The winners of that category were the sole entrants and the only 3 man team. As they managed to achieve a very creditable 20 Points, we thought that they deserved to be credited with £ 1.00 each. That team comprised of Hugh Barclay, Andrew Henderson and Drew Carlyle. The remaining £1.00 will be added to our Prize Fund.
Greensomes, Monday 22nd Nov
Today 39 of us enjoyed what was initially a very cold morning and winter greens which were mid-morning altered to normal greens and slight breeze and lovely weather. From the above information, you will have surmised that we must have had a 3 ball side in our midst!! Little did we know that that team were going to have a phenomenal score! As a consequence of that score, we have revised the deduction for our next Greensome. (We are still learning!!)
After a deduction of 3 points, In 1st Place with 52 Points were team 7 – Kevin Scott, Jim Wilson and George Davidson who will each be credited with £ 6.00.
In 2nd equal place with 45 Points were Team 3B - Andrew Henderson and Hugh McKail plus, Team 4B – Jim Jackson and George Hunter, who will each be credited with £ 4.00
In 3rd place with 43 Points were Team 8 – Drew Carlyle and Alex Henderson who will each be credited with £2.00.
The remaining £1.00 will be added to the Prize Fund.
I made an error in today’s 3rd place position and apologise for that, especially to Drew Carlyle and Andy Fraser. 3rd placed in our event were Franklin Henry and Alex MacLeod who should each be credited with £2.00.
