Counter, Nov 1st

Gentlemen,
Today, in almost gale conditions, 35 of us commenced playing our November “Counter”. I will add here that we received scores from 31 of you, a few of whom did not complete 18 holes and that two of you placed a pound on the box but did not start. - (Thanks or the donation lads!!)
We, your Organisers, had a couple of problems today.  

1. Some scorecards were not returned to the Professional Shop. That resulted in our having to endeavour to locate them. In future, please ensure that your cards are delivered to the Shop prior to enjoying the catering etc in the clubhouse.  
2. The results for Counter Competitions need to be recorded to enable us to collate the best three rounds total for each entrant. Therefore we need to know whose score is in which column on the scorecard. In future, and to save us having to phone around, please make that clear in future. Identification of the player who is in which column is actually essential for most, if not all of the games which we play.

 
Results
In first place with an exceptional score of 45 Points was Sandy Paterson who will be credited with £8.00, however, his handicap will also be cut by 3 for all future events in this session.
In second place with a score of 37 Points was Bill Rae who will be credited with £7.00, however, his handicap will also be cut by 1 for all future events in this session.
In Third place  with a score of 35 Points was Eddie Maurer, who will be credited with £6.00,
In Fourth Equal place  with a score of 34 Points were George Davidson, Andrew Marshall and Mike McDougall who will each be credited with £4.00,
The remaining £4.00 will be added to the Prize Fund.
